The 2025 Grammy Nominations Are Finally Here

Please, please, please don’t say the Recording Academy has to pick between these talented musicians.
Indeed, the 2025 Grammy nominations have officially been released Nov. 8, and while the 67th annual ceremony won’t occur until Feb. 2, 2025, the competition is so stiff that everyone will need lots of good luck—babe!
In the Nov. 8 Grammys livestream, Entertainment Tonight correspondents Cassie DiLaura and Denny Directo announced the nominees for Songwriter of the Year (Non-Classical), which include Raye, Jessie Jo Dillon, Amy Allen, Jessi Alexander and Edgar Barrera.
The 2025 Grammy nominations come just eight months after last year’s affair—which also saw several stars reach big milestones in their careers. Taylor Swift, for her part, made history by earning her fourth Album of the Year win for 2023’s Midnights—becoming the only artist to nab the title four times.
Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus—who has been releasing music since the mid-aughts under her Hannah Montana persona—earned her first and second Grammy wins for her smash hit “Flowers,” which took home Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
Since her milestone win, the Disney alum—who had previously earned two nominations prior to 2024—criticized the Recording Academy’s reluctance to hand her flowers for the first 17 years of her career.
“No shade, but I've been doing this for 20 years, and this is my first time actually being taken seriously at the Grammys?" Miley told W magazine in June. “I've had a hard time figuring out what the measurement is there, because if we want to talk stats and numbers, then where the f--k was I? And if you want to talk, like, impact on culture, then where the f--k was I?”
Even so, Miley celebrated in a big way on the stage at Crypto.com Arena by changing the lyrics to her Grammy-winning song shortly after nabbing her first win at the February ceremony.
“I didn’t want to leave you—but had to—I didn’t want to fight—but we did,” she sang during her 2024 Grammys performance. “Started to cry then remembered—I just won my first Grammy!”
