Here's more proof that Jennifer Lopez is gonna be alright.
Just over two weeks after the "On the Floor" singer filed for divorce from estranged husband Ben Affleck, she proudly stepped out to attend the world premiere of their film Unstoppable at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 6.
Affleck—who, along with his BFF Matt Damon, produced the film based on wrestler Anthony Robles' book—skipped the premiere because he's working in Los Angeles and spending time with his kids, E! News learned.
The Air actor shares Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
As for Lopez, she showed no signs of stress at the TIFF premiere, her first major red carpet since her split from the Argo director.
In fact, the actress, who stars in the movie alongside Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale and Don Cheadle, turned heads in a column mirrorball dress with black bows tying the sides. Sporting a sleek straight hairstyle, J.Lo served fierce poses on the red carpet with her show-stopping risqué gown.
Meanwhile, Damon, who attended the premiere alongside his wife Luciana Barroso Damon, who wore a black hater neck gown with a loose updo.
Ahead of the premiere, Unstoppable director William Goldenberg shut down any potential awkwardness surrounding the promotion of the film.
“Everybody’s a professional, and that’s their own personal thing," he told Variety in an interview published Sept. 6. "I love them both. I mean, I know Ben better, but Jennifer was literally a dream to work with. "
"She was incredible," he added. "And their personal life is their personal life."
While Lopez and Affleck have yet to directly address their divorce, the Hustlers star did recently share a cheeky message about her summer.
Indeed, included in a series of photos posted to her Instagram Aug. 31 is a T-shirt that read, "She's in bloom and unbothered out of reach and at peace."
In her divorce petition, filed on Aug. 20—the second anniversary of their Georgia wedding ceremony—and obtained by E! News, Lopez cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split.
The "Waiting for Tonight" artist, who shares 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, listed April 26 as the date of their separation, which was just days before she walked the 2024 Met Gala red carpet without Affleck by her side.
And although a specific reason behind the split hasn't been made public, Affleck previously hinted at their incompatibility in Lopez's 2024 documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told.
"I had a very firm sense of boundaries initially around the press while Jen I don't think objected to it in the way I did," he shared. "I very much did object to it."
And when the pair, who were previously engaged in the early aughts, got back together in 2021, “I said, 'Listen, one of the things I don't want is a relationship on social media,’” he explained, "And then I sort of realized it's not a fair thing to ask. It's sort of like you're gonna marry a boat captain and you go, 'Well, I don't like the water.'”
Ultimately, they were not on the same page. "We're just two people with kind of different approaches," Affleck said, "trying to learn to compromise."
